What are cookies?

Cookies are little pieces of data that can be stored on your web browser. Cookies are usually set by applications that are running on a web site you visit. On the SuPPort site they are used only for tracking your usage of the system when you are logged in so that you can access all the pages that you need.

NOTE: Some internet security (firewall) software blocks cookies. If you use internet security software, consult its documentation to determine how to disable this function.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.xx
  1. Click the 'Tools' menu on your browser
  2. Select 'Internet Options'
  3. Click the 'Privacy' tab
  4. In the 'Settings' section, click on 'Advanced'
  5. Select the option 'Override automatic cookie handling'
  6. Under the option 'First-party Cookies', select the 'Accept' radio button
  7. Under the option 'Third-party Cookies', select the 'Accept' radio button
  8. Select the option 'Always allow session cookies'
  9. Click OK to close the 'Advanced Privacy Setting' dialog
  10. Click OK to close the 'Internet Options' dialog.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.xx
  1. Click the 'Tools' menu on your browser
  2. Select 'Internet Options'
  3. Click the 'Privacy' tab

  7. Under the option 'Allow cookies that are stored on your computer', select the 'Enable' radio button
  8. Click OK to close the 'Security Settings' dialog
  9. Click OK to close the 'Internet Options' dialog.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.xx
  1. Click the 'View' menu on your browser
  2. Select 'Internet Options'
  3. Click the 'Security' tab
  4. In the 'Custom' section, click on 'Settings'
  5. Scroll down to the 'Security' section
  6. Select 'Always accept cookies'
  7. Click OK to close the 'Settings' dialog
  8. Click OK to close the 'Internet Options' dialog.
Windows IE 3.x Browser
  1. Go to View on the menu bar
  2. Pick Options
  3. Click the Advanced tab
  4. Go down to the Cookies section
  5. Click "Warn Before Accept Cookies"
  6. Click OK
Mozilla Firefox
  1. Click the 'Tools' menu item
  2. Select 'Options' from the dropdown menu
  3. Click on the 'privacy' tab
  4. Check the box 'Allow sites to set cookies'
  5. Un-check the boxes 'for originating site only' and 'unless I have removed cookies set by the site'
  6. Click 'OK' at bottom of dialogue window
Netscape 7.x
  1. Click Edit on the Toolbar.
  2. Click Preferences
  3. Click the Privacy and Security category; expand the list to show the subcategories.
  4. Click Cookies
  5. Three options are displayed. Click the appropriate choice:

  3. Click the Languages tab
  4. Click the checkbox next to "Enable Java"
  5. Click OK

  1. From the AOL Toolbar, select Settings.
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Select Internet Properties (WWW)
  4. Select the Privacy tab
  5. Select Advanced
  6. Deselect override automatic cookie handling button
  7. Click OK to exit.
